In her narration, the widow disclosed that her husband passed away, leaving her with the sole responsibility of raising their three sons and adopted daughter. She explained that this tragic loss marked the beginning of her struggles with her late husband’s family, who had made life increasingly difficult for her and her children.

According to the widow, her in-laws had gone as far as denying her access to the home she shared with her late husband and their children. She further revealed that they had allegedly plotted to harm her and her family. In a chilling recount, she shared how they stormed her house with ill intentions, believing she was present, only to meet her absence. This act, she said, led to the mistreatment of her younger sister and staff, who were reportedly forced out of the house.

The widow revealed that her in-laws locked her and her children out of their home, changing the locks and threatening her life if she attempted to return. She recounted how the Nigeria Police Force intervened in the matter, apprehending some of her in-laws. The authorities managed to unlock the doors, granting her access to the home once again, but not without lingering emotional scars.

In her words, she expressed the shock and pain she felt over the ordeal, stating: “It’s not my wish to become a widow at this time, leaving this innocent 3 little boys and our adopted daughter for only me to cater for. God decided to call my dear husband home on time, away from sickness and pains😭. But it will be an error for I, Uba Princess Chidinma Ugoji, to fold my arms and allow my late husband’s brothers to take away what their late father and I labored for.”

She further described the harassment and intimidation she endured, saying: “Since last week, I have been denied access to the home I live in with my children. My husband’s brothers went to my house with men of the underworld, thinking I was inside, so they could end my life and that of my children. Unfortunately for them, they met my absence but unleashed their anger on my staff and my younger sister, going away with important documents.”

The widow continued, explaining how her sister and staff were reportedly forced out of the house, and her in-laws issued a warning that she should stay away or risk losing her life. She said: “They pushed my staff and younger sister out almost naked and gave a stern warning that I shouldn’t come close to my house if I don’t want my family to come and carry my dead body.”

She credited the Nigeria Police Force for stepping in to help her regain access to her home, saying: “With the help of the Nigeria police, they were able to apprehend them yesterday and took one of them to my house. They made him unlock the doors so that I and my kids could have access to my house again.”

In a concluding remark, she expressed the emotional toll the experience had taken on her, stating: “I never knew this is what young widows go through in the hands of some Mbano people😭😭😭😭. Death!!!!! You do this one.”
