According to her account, the harassment is a direct result of her refusal to date these men or sell her products on credit.

Vendor weeps as men destroy her business.

In a heartfelt video posted on her TikTok account, the vendor, identified as Goodness Ovie, detailed her troubling experiences.

She explained that she tries to operate her business peacefully but is continually subjected to mistreatment by local men who retaliate against her for rejecting their advances and insisting on cash payments.

“My name is Goodness Ovie, and I reside in Warri, Delta State,” she began. “I’m sharing this here as a memory bank since my phone has limited storage—I want to look back on this someday.”

Ovie went on to say, “I’m a small business owner selling noodles at night. These guys in the area constantly destroy my table and items for reasons I can’t understand. This has happened three times now, and I’m at my breaking point. The local chairman and others are not supportive, and the harassment keeps happening because I refuse to date them.”

She described further incidents where simply asking if they would pay in cash or via transfer led to violent confrontations. “They slap me, threaten me, and often try to beat me up. I’m from another community and live alone, so I try to stay peaceful to avoid conflict,” she said.

Additionally, Ovie recounted how the men frequently break into her storage to steal her supplies, leaving her feeling vulnerable and helpless.

“Despite my efforts to keep a low profile and avoid issues, I feel isolated, afraid, and unsupported,” she shared. “I’m struggling and exhausted. It’s as though society is set against me, only looking for ways to take advantage. I feel lost, depressed, and hopeless. If these local leaders continue to turn a blind eye, one day they might even kill me—but I trust God will protect me.”

After her video went viral, many viewers expressed their concern and offered words of encouragement in the comments section.

See some reactions below:

Vitamin Of Africa✨: “This is why the first thing I do after a change of environment is win the hearts of the area boys, placing myself in a position that commands respect.”

Chinenye Cordelia: “People in this comment section are funny; which one is ‘win their heart’? These boys are demons.”

spunkyamandi: “I’m also here in Warri, and the area boys like me a lot. I’m not from here either; where exactly are you in Warri?”

My name is Goodness Ovie, and I reside in Delta State, Warri…..I am documenting these memories here because I don’t have storage in my phone, so I can come back to this history later in the future when I get to my destination. I’m a small business owner selling noodles at nights, and for some reasons I don’t know, these guys around come destroying my table and things I sell every time. This is happening for the 3rd time, and I can’t take it anymore. The chairman around and people aren’t saying anything favorable to me; this oppression happens often because I refuse to date them and sometimes I refuse to sell credits. When I ask if they are paying with cash or transfer, it suddenly brings issues. They slap me most times, try to beat me up, and I get scared because I’m not from the community; I stay alone. I try to be very peaceful because I don’t want to have issues with anyone. I’m helpless, and I’ve nobody at my back. Several times, they would break my mini cupboard where I keep things and steal my stuff, but I never voice out. I try as hard as I can to be peaceful because I’m always walking alone at nights from work. I’m struggling; it’s so tiring because society is not encouraging me but looking for ways to take from me and go scot-free. I’m fed up, lost, and losing myself. These people make me go into depression most times😭😭😭😭 I’m not safe anymore. If these chairmen aren’t saying anything reasonable, they might as well kill me one day, but my God wouldn’t allow them😭😭
