Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she expressed her frustration, explaining that she had placed an order for a particular set of makeup brushes, as displayed in the vendor’s advertisement. However, upon receiving her package, she was shocked to find that the delivered product did not match the advertised item.
She further lamented that some brushes in the set were unnecessarily repeated multiple times, reducing the variety of tools she had initially expected. She emphasized that she had carefully read the advert and was certain she had ordered the correct product, only to be met with disappointment.
In response to her complaints, the vendor defended their actions, arguing that the image displayed in the advertisement was “just a photo” meant to attract buyers. They maintained that the delivered brush set was exactly what had been described in the product listing, despite the visual discrepancy.
Frustrated by the vendor’s response, the lady decided to share screenshots of their conversation online to expose the issue. She wrote:
“Here to call out @zikelcosmetics because tell me how I ordered the first picture and they delivered the second one (apparently an eye brush set) and said the photo displayed is ‘just a photo’—that they wrote ‘eye brush set’ there. Mind you, one of the brushes in the set they sent is repeated like five times.”
