A Nigerian lady has come forward to share her shocking experience of being sued by her US-based boyfriend after she posted another man on TikTok.
In a detailed video post on her TikTok page, she narrated the entire journey of her relationship with the man, from how they met online to the dramatic lawsuit that followed.
According to her, their story began when she met the man on TikTok, where he initially started as her “gifter,” regularly showering her with TikTok gifts during her live sessions.
Over time, their interaction deepened, and he expressed a romantic interest in her. He then proceeded to ask her about her relationship status.
She honestly disclosed that she was single but also made it clear that she was hesitant about long-distance relationships.
Despite her concerns, he reassured her that distance would not be an issue, promising to either fly her to the US or make trips to Nigeria to visit her.
As their bond grew stronger, he consistently sent her financial gifts. She recalled that the first sum of money he ever sent her was $850, which he stated was for her personal upkeep.
Their relationship seemed to be going well, with him frequently providing financial support. On one occasion, after she casually mentioned wanting a particular hairstyle, he surprised her by sending her a whopping ₦1 million to get it done.
However, things suddenly took an unexpected turn when he stopped communicating with her altogether. She revealed that he neither picked up her calls nor responded to any of her messages.
After months of being ignored and left in the dark, she decided to move on and eventually found love again with someone in Nigeria.
Feeling happy and secure in her new relationship, she decided to share her joy online by posting a video of her new boyfriend on TikTok.
To her utter surprise, this post caught the attention of her US-based ex-boyfriend, who immediately reached out to her, accusing her of cheating on him and moving on too quickly.
Shocked by his reaction, she reminded him that he had disappeared from her life for months without any explanation. However, it was at that moment that he made a startling confession.
He admitted that the real reason he had vanished was that his wife had discovered their affair. This revelation left her in disbelief, as she had no prior knowledge that he was a married man.
She stated:
“I met a guy on TikTok; he started as my gifter, always sending me gifts. One day, he asked if I was in a relationship, and I said no. He then showed interest, but I told him I don’t like long-distance relationships because he was in the US and I was in Nigeria.”
“He assured me it wouldn’t be a problem, saying he could fly me over or visit Nigeria. That’s how we started dating, calling and texting each other frequently.”
“The first time he sent me money, it was $850, and I asked why. He said it was for my upkeep.”
“Later, when I mentioned needing a hairstyle, he sent me ₦1 million. Then suddenly, he stopped texting. If I called, he wouldn’t pick up, and he ignored my messages. So, I stopped reaching out.”
“Eventually, I found love here in Nigeria and started dating someone new. I posted my boyfriend on TikTok, and out of nowhere, my ex messaged me, saying I had moved on too quickly.”
“I reminded him that he had ignored me for months. That’s when he admitted his wife had found out about us. I was shocked because he never told me he was married.”
To her astonishment, her ex-boyfriend did not stop at just confronting her. He later took legal action against her, suing her over the situation.
