A Las Vegas family is currently mourning the tragic loss of their toddler after he accidentally and fatally shot himself at a caregiver's home near Nellis Air Force Base. The incident took place on a Sunday evening when two-year-old Jaiangelis Stevenson found a gun in the bedroom and discharged it, resulting in a life-threatening injury. He was immediately rushed to University Medical Center, but despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead. The local authorities, specifically the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, are now conducting an investigation into the incident to determine if there were any signs of abuse or neglect. Jaiangelis was under the care of a family member while his mother was at work during the tragic event. His aunt, Paris Box, fondly remembers him as "Blue" due to his striking eye color and cherishes the joyful moments they shared. The family is struggling to come to terms with the tragedy, and although they acknowledge the negligence involved in a child gaining access to a firearm, they do not harbor hatred in their hearts and understand that the incident was unintentional.
