A 100-level student, Aminat Tajudeen, at Kwara State College of Education Ilorin, passed away after collapsing during a lecture. The incident happened on Wednesday around 1:30 pm, and it was reported that Aminat had already received her matriculation gown for the ceremony scheduled for the next day, before she slumped.
After collapsing, Aminat was immediately rushed to the school clinic, but unfortunately, she didn't survive. A member of the senior staff at the school, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed the incident and said Aminat was rushed to the clinic immediately but later passed away.
Her Janazah and burial took place at the Muslim cemetery, Osere. During her burial, Aminat's father mentioned that they had a lengthy discussion on several issues before he escorted her to get a cab to the school, and she showed no sign or symptom of any sickness.
The college's Public Relations Officer, Mrs Abibat Zubair, confirmed the incident and stated that Aminat was a student of Music/Yoruba. The PRO further mentioned that the Provost visited the parents to sympathize with them, and the college and students mourned her during the matriculation ceremony.
