A viral video has surfaced online showing a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member undergoing punishment at the NYSC camp in Adamawa state. The incident was reportedly triggered after the soldier allegedly broke the corps member's phone, leading to a confrontation between them.

The footage was shared by a netizen, @Nifemi_Bill, who identified the individual being punished as his friend. According to him, his friend had been unreachable for days, and his group initially assumed it was due to network issues. However, they later discovered a video of him being punished at the NYSC camp.

In the video, the corps member can be seen assuming a motorcycle riding stance, a common form of physical discipline in military settings. @Nifemi_Bill explained that his friend had reacted strongly after the soldier mistakenly broke his phone, which led to the punishment being meted out.

Sharing the video, @Nifemi_Bill wrote:

“One of our guys went to ADAMAWA for NYSC camp. We had not been able to contact him for days, and we thought it was a network issue. You guys won’t believe what happened 😭

A soldier broke his phone mistakenly, and he got angry. That’s how they punished a First-Class Graduate o😂😂😭😭💔”

He added:

“Someone randomly saw that video on TikTok and sent it to us😂. He’s probably still under punishment till now, who knows?😂🤷🏽‍♂️”

The post quickly gained attention, with many social media users expressing concern over the treatment of the corps member. While some found the situation humorous, others condemned the act, stating that it was unjustified. @Nifemi_Bill later clarified that he was not using the situation for clout and urged people to share the post to raise awareness.
