A close friend of the young lady, Salome Eleojo Adaidu, who was tragically murdered by a gospel singer, Timileyin Ajayi, has come forward to dismiss claims that the deceased was in a romantic relationship with the suspect.
According to the friend, the reports suggesting that Salome and Ajayi were romantically involved are completely false. She alleged that the deceased was kidnapped by the singer before being subjected to a brutal murder.
Further insights were shared by another friend of the deceased, identified on Facebook as Alli Stephen. He revealed that Salome had left her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, to visit a friend in Karu, Nasarawa State. Unfortunately, she unknowingly entered the wrong tricycle, which led to her abduction and eventual murder.
Alli wrote on Facebook:
“She is my friend’s younger sister, and she’s not his girlfriend. He abducted her and killed her in the most gruesome way possible. I’m presently at their house, and it’s nothing any family should experience. She’s not a spoilt child; she keeps to herself and hardly steps out unless it’s necessary. I have a lot to say, but strength eludes me.”
The tragic case has drawn widespread condemnation, with many expressing shock and grief over the senseless loss of an innocent life. Salome has been described as a quiet and reserved individual who avoided unnecessary outings.
The police are actively investigating the incident, and the suspect, Timileyin Ajayi, remains in custody for further interrogation. Authorities have assured the public that justice will be served, while the victim’s family and friends continue to mourn their irreparable loss.
