Controversy has erupted following the release of a video featuring popular Afrobeats singer, Seyi Vibez, as he threw money at a group of enthusiastic fans gathered outside his residence.
With the intention of bestowing blessings upon members of his locality, Seyi Vibez stood on the balcony of his home and began showering the crowd with money.
A video, subsequently shared on Seyi Vibez's Instagram page, captured the scene of numerous fans clamoring outside his gate, exuberantly hailing him in hopes of receiving a monetary gift.
While standing outside, Seyi Vibez, with what appeared to be cigarettes between his lips, proceeded to throw money at the eager fans, who eagerly scrambled to collect the cash.
The video garnered a range of reactions, with some expressing their disapproval of his actions. One Twitter user, OTUNBA, commented, "Telling them to form a line and ask someone to share it with them is better. You can't distribute money to people from the streets who contributed to your success. By the way, weed is not illegal in Nigeria for the wealthy, by the way. The incident has sparked a mix of reactions from the public. Twitter user @KingAndresss humorously remarked, "He carries egbo for his mouth in his father's house 😂."
@manlikeicey voiced an alternative perspective, stating, "Telling them to form a line and ask someone to share it with them is better. You can't distribute money to people from the streets who contributed to your success. By the way, weed is not illegal in Nigeria for the wealthy, by the way."
@Stg_pop expressed concerns about respect, saying, "Even though he's a celebrity, he should respect his dad. Smoking in his dad's house is not right. Having money doesn't justify disrespecting your father."
@mild_Kerr questioned the reaction, asking, "If he asked them to line up while he shares it, will the heavens fall?"
