Similarly, the Nasarawa Airport has been immortalized in honor of Usman Dan Fodio, the esteemed founder of the Sokoto Caliphate, who played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria's history.
The renaming initiative extends to various other airports across the country. The Benin Airport in Edo State now carries the name of the late Oba Akenzua II, paying homage to his significant contributions to the region and its people.
