The lady, identified simply as Omote, took to her X (formerly Twitter) page to narrate the unusual experience. She revealed that she had been actively engaging with the pastor’s Instagram page, consistently commenting on his posts before receiving the unexpected request.

  

According to her, the pastor did not ask for a general offering or a voluntary donation to support the church but instead specified an amount of N3.5 million, leaving her both shocked and amused.

  

She wrote: “I’ve been consistently commenting on this popular pastor’s Instagram page. One of the church pastors reached out to me and said he felt led to ask me for N3.5 million.

  

“I mean, if he had simply said, ‘Give anything to support the ministry,’ I would have considered giving an offering. But he specifically mentioned N3.5 million—where does he expect me to get that kind of money?”
