A Nigerian lady has sparked an online uproar after she shared a message from a man she ghosted following his ₦15,000 gesture during their talking stage.
The revelation came through a TikTok video on her page, where she openly admitted to cutting off communication with the man immediately after receiving the money, referring to him as her “talking stage.”
In the video, the lady revealed her face alongside a screenshot of a message sent to her by the man.
The caption on the post read: “You collected urgent 15k from your talking stage and ghosted.”
In the message, the man expressed his disappointment and disclosed his original intentions to spend much more on her:
“I’m very serious about making you my wife only if you wish. I love you, thanks. You claim you’re wise not knowing you’re being foolish. I gave you just a little amount, and you proved to be an ungrateful fellow. I was planning to send you ₦120,000 to buy Christmas clothes as a surprise, but you’re not worth it.”
He continued: “Chisom, see, all those girls that do hook-up, I can categorically tell you’re not on their level. I just love you for a reason, not because of sex. A man who wants to spend much on you will first start small—it happens everywhere, even in Nollywood. This is the truth I’m telling you.”
The man went on to express his genuine feelings, suggesting that the ₦15,000 was only a preview of the larger amounts he had planned to send her if things had progressed, which led him to share his frustration about the situation.
As the post went viral, many TikTok users flocked to the comment section, expressing a wide range of opinions, which sparked a lively and heated debate among viewers.
