The Lagos Governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour is currently facing backlash from social media users as he has been accused of being an IPOB apologist after the resurfacing of his old tweets. GRV, who is the Labour Party Governorship candidate in the election slated for 11th March 2023, had previously campaigned in 2019 for a senatorial position using the name Chinedu Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, a move which had sparked outrage on Twitter. Recently, following the circulation of campaign posters from 2019, old tweets from the Labour Party’s candidate have resurfaced with claims of his affiliation with the separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
