Peter Obi, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare the results for Abia. He expressed his frustration over the delay in releasing the governorship results of Abia and Enugu states, and urged INEC to release the results immediately. Obi stated that he had already appealed privately on this matter, but decided to make a public statement due to the importance of releasing the results. According to Obi, the continued delay in releasing the results is raising questions about INEC's intent and the credibility of the election. He also expressed disappointment that the commission has been unable to resolve whatever issues are holding back the release of the results. Obi believes that the records of elections from polling units should not be difficult to calculate if the electoral officials are committed to the integrity of the exercise and the stipulated guidelines.
