This call for a ban has emerged following the tragic passing of former Marlian Music signee Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, famously known as Mohbad, who lost his life barely a year after a controversial separation from the record label owned by Naira Marley himself.
The deceased artist had alleged that Naira Marley, the leader of the record label, and his associates had issued threats to his life while he was still alive.
It's worth noting that on Tuesday, September 10, 2023, the passing of Mohbad was officially confirmed, although the exact cause of his death remains shrouded in mystery.
On Thursday, authorities disclosed the initiation of an investigation into Mohbad's tragic demise.
Fueled by anger and frustration, supporters of the late singer have initiated a petition to call for the prohibition of Marlian Records, the label he was formerly associated with.
