Seun Kuti, a renowned Nigerian singer and political activist, has spoken out following an altercation with a police officer in Lagos, which was captured on a viral video. The footage shows Kuti engaging in a physical confrontation with a uniformed officer, including slapping and pushing him along the Third Mainland bridge.
In an attempt to clear the air on the incident, Kuti affirmed that the officer had attempted to kill him and his family, without disclosing the specific cause of the confrontation. He further stated that he possessed evidence to support his claim. Kuti urged Nigerians to mind their own business to prevent the police officer from losing his job. He expressed that the officer had apologized to him, and he had agreed not to press charges.
