A Nigerian teacher, Abiola Ajibolaoye, has openly shared his deepest regret in life, reflecting on how his decision to marry at the age of 40 has significantly impacted him.

In a heartfelt video posted on TikTok by @Yomilistens, Abiola spoke candidly about his frustrations and the challenges he has faced due to late marriage. He highlighted that certain mistakes in life are easier to fix when one is younger, but as time progresses, some choices become irreversible.

According to him, delaying marriage was one of his biggest missteps, as it led to complications he never anticipated. He revealed that he and his wife have struggled with childbearing, a situation he believes could have been different had he married earlier.

“If I could turn back time, I would have married much earlier. Waiting until I was 40 to tie the knot was one of the biggest mistakes of my life,” he confessed.

Abiola further explained that while he is grateful for his career and professional achievements, he believes that certain life choices, particularly marriage, should be made at the right time. He stressed the importance of timing, saying that some experiences are better navigated when one is younger.

“You can get married and make mistakes. But when you make those mistakes early, you still have time to correct them. However, when you wait too long, time is no longer on your side. Right now, I find myself doing things that I should have done years ago,” he lamented.

His revelation has sparked conversations online, with many social media users debating the pros and cons of marrying early versus late.
