A large group of market women in Delta State, Nigeria, took matters into their own hands as they seized the equipment of a pastor who was preaching in the market after he allegedly insulted them during his sermon. The incident, which quickly went viral, has sparked widespread attention and reactions from social media users.

The pastor, who had reportedly been preaching in the market, allegedly made derogatory remarks about the market women, including calling them "goats." In a video that was shared widely across platforms, including [X] (formerly known as Twitter), the women are seen confronting the pastor, demanding accountability for his insulting words.

In the video, the women are seen protesting against the pastor, who reportedly made derogatory remarks about them while preaching.

According to one of the market women, the pastor insulted the Urhobo women, referring to them as “goats.”

She said, “A pastor came here, he was preaching, and then he said all the market women, all the Urhobo women here, are goats. That’s why we gathered here. Even including his mother, he said she’s a goat too.”

The situation escalated as some of the market women lifted the pastor’s speakers in protest.
