Man cries out in frustration as his wife locks him outside the house after he was cheated by a plantain seller at the market.
The man explained that his wife had sent him on an errand to buy some plantain from the market, expecting him to make a reasonable purchase.
Upon arriving at the market, he purchased a bunch of plantains from a seller at the cost of N8K, believing it to be a fair price. However, when he returned home and informed his wife of the amount he had paid, she became enraged.
His wife, furious at what she considered an excessive amount for the plantain, refused to let him inside the house and left him standing outside with the purchase.
In a video shared online, the man was seen standing outside, holding the plantain, while narrating his ordeal. He expressed his regret over the purchase and explained how he unknowingly overpaid because the market sellers took advantage of him.
He admitted that he had learned a valuable lesson and vowed to be more cautious in future transactions, joking that he would start going to the market on foot instead of driving to avoid being scammed by traders who assume car owners are wealthy.

“My wife locked me outside because she sent me on an errand to buy plantain for her and I bought it. So I got this plantain for N8K, and now my wife is pissed and shouting that why will I buy that plantain for N8K, that the plantain shouldn’t cost above N4K. Now I didn’t know. Once you just park your car in front of these sellers, they will cheat you. So I don learn my lesson. I go dey use leg go.”
