According to the man, he purchased the 5G router from the network provider, subscribed to the service, and received payment confirmation from both the network provider and their payment processing platform. However, to his dismay, the router failed to connect to the internet, leaving him without access to the service he paid for.

When he contacted customer support to resolve the issue, he was advised to wait 24 hours before submitting a formal complaint. Frustrated by the lack of immediate assistance, he turned to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his experience and express his dissatisfaction with the network provider’s customer service and response time.

Man accuses network of breach of contract over 5G router purchase.

The man expressed his frustration in a series of posts, highlighting what he described as an unnecessary delay in addressing the issue. He stated that the payment confirmation should have been sufficient for the network provider to resolve the matter promptly instead of requesting him to wait for an extended period before escalating the issue.

In his words: “I think I made a very horrible decision buying this Airtel 5G Router. I tried subscribing to the router yesterday, and after the payment was made, I received a receipt from Paystack. Not long after, Airtel confirmed the payment.”

“To my utter shock and disbelief, the router did not provide data for my gadgets. I made a complaint, and Airtel is asking me to wait for 24 hours before I can complain. LMAOOOO.”

“I mean, you can easily track the payment and escalate the issue to your payment platform.”

He further emphasized his hope that the issue would be resolved within the stipulated 24-hour period and warned that failure to do so would lead to further actions on his part. He added: “24 hours will be up by 9 PM today. I really hope the router starts working before then, and the unnecessary delay is addressed.”

He also tagged the network provider, stating: “@AirtelNigeria, if by any chance my router doesn’t work within the estimated period, you will have me to deal with for non-provision of the service I paid for and breach of contract.”

“I will not say more than that.”
