A Nigerian man has shared screenshots on social media, revealing that his girlfriend confessed to cheating on him, blaming the act on alcohol.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man uploaded a lengthy screenshot of a conversation between him and his girlfriend. In the screenshots, the girlfriend admitted to cheating and sought his forgiveness, attributing the infidelity to being under the influence of alcohol at the time.
He disclosed that she had cheated on him with another person and is now seeking forgiveness for the act. However, she justifies her actions by attributing them to alcohol, claiming it wasn't intentional, and attempts to shift the blame onto him for making a big deal out of the situation and not forgiving her.
The man wrote in his post, "07/01/2025, I’m officially single and searching." He also posed a question for his followers: "If your partner cheated on you without you knowing and then confessed, would you forgive them and continue the relationship?"
He shared several screenshots of their conversation, including the girlfriend’s final message, where she attempts to make him appear as the "bad guy" in the situation. The man, however, made it clear that he has ended the relationship and no longer wants to continue despite her apology and justification.
As the post gained traction, many concerned individuals flooded the comments section to share their opinions on the situation. The comment section revealed varying reactions to the issue of infidelity and how people perceived the girlfriend's attempt to blame alcohol for her actions.

@Uzanethegoat: “bruh why do ladies always blame cheating on the influence on alcohol?? you KNEW exactly what you were doing lmfao.”
@__khalid101: “You should know she already imagined every response you can come up with and she has answers to everything already. Brace for impact cus at the end of the day you are the reason she cheated. I didn’t read any of those WhatsApp messages tho.”
@hamiltonawah: “No be she you use for your WhatsApp screensaver?”
@ayo_coder: “Leave that chat unreplied to..Forever If you let her gaslight you into continuing that relationship, you will learn but sadly it will the hard way. When she’s done crying, she’d go back to the guy she slept with. Happy new year to you two.”
@yellowstone325: “Make she hold joor, remember at some point the divk came out and she inserted it back.”
@CounsellorSunny: “You are Disrespecting your body by following different women. Men should wise up. Get yourself 1 lady or maybe 2 and settle down. Highest 3 or 4. maximum 5 or 6 is okay. If you’re going through a lot, you can add one more then you are good to go.”
@UkiwoD: “The thing about this is that even if you continue the relationship, things will never remain the same again. You’ll begin to question everything and who wants that in their relationship? Best to tell her you’ve forgiven her but you can no longer continue the relationship.”
@HI_BIG_ABBEY: “Forgive her but the relationship can never get tight like before. I can’t lie to you because… If you close your eyes, you can never close your mind. You have to think wisely before continuing the relationship, bro, it’s 2025, think 💬 wisely.”
