A Nigerian man has become the center of an online uproar after an incident at a filling station in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State , where he reportedly filled his tank with fuel worth ₦58,548 and drove off without settling the bill.

According to the post, the man filled his tank with 59.20 liters of fuel at a station in Ado-Ekiti before fleeing the premises. The post further explained that the man left an elderly fuel attendant in debt and emotional distress.
CCTV footage captured the suspect’s actions in detail, showing his face, the vehicle he was driving, and his license plate. The vehicle, a Honda Accord popularly referred to as “End of Discussion,” bore the plate number GGE576DY . In the video, the suspect is seen subtly widening the station’s gate during the transaction, a move that facilitated his quick getaway.
The viral post read: “A customer came to fill up his tank and zoomed off without paying. He stole 59.20 liters (₦58,548.4). The old man who sold the fuel to him is now in debt and has been in tears since the incident occurred on January 3, 2025. We have CCTV footage of the entire event.”
