A young Nigerian man has sparked conversations online after revealing the kind of job he does to earn a living and survive in the United Kingdom (UK).
The young man shared a video of himself at his workplace in the UK, where he is seen lifting and carrying heavy bags and boxes filled with food items. His job involves working in a food warehouse and transferring goods to a delivery vehicle parked outside.
In the footage, he is seen diligently working in the rain, handling the physically demanding job with dedication. Despite the challenging weather conditions, he continued loading the goods, highlighting the tough reality of his work abroad.
While sharing the video, he explained that this is his daily hustle, and it is how he manages to pay his rent and afford food in the UK. He pointed out that life abroad is not as easy as many people assume and that his job requires endurance and sacrifice.
Additionally, he revealed that he visits the barbering shop only once every four months to save money. He emphasized that if he sends any amount of money, even as little as N20K, it should be appreciated by those receiving it back home in Nigeria.
The young man further reflected on his financial priorities, noting that instead of spending 25 pounds (equivalent to 50K naira) on a haircut, he chooses to send the money to his family. He acknowledged the struggles of living abroad but remained hopeful that one day, his story would change for the better.
Sharing his experience, he captioned the video: “This is what I do every day abroad to pay my rent and feed. If I send you 20K, my bro, manage it. I stay 4 months before getting a haircut here just so I can send that 25 pounds, which is 50K naira, to my family. But one day, it will be a story that was witnessed by you all.”
