A young and ambitious businessman finds himself in a difficult situation after his girlfriend accumulated a substantial debt of N400,000 from his poultry and fish business without paying back.
This distressing situation was shared on X by user @MrMekzy_, who narrated how the vendor reached out to him, seeking advice on how to handle the matter. The vendor explained that his girlfriend frequently takes chickens, eggs, and catfish from his business, always making promises to pay later but never fulfilling them. Over time, the unpaid goods piled up to a significant amount, creating financial strain on his business.
In addition to the goods she took on credit, he also regularly gifted her food items out of love and generosity. However, after noticing how much her unpaid debts were affecting his business, he finally decided to stop her from taking more without payment.
Unfortunately, his decision did not sit well with his girlfriend. Instead of understanding the situation, she became upset and started giving him the silent treatment. The vendor shared that she has been ignoring his calls, avoiding him, and even went as far as snubbing him when they met at church.
This reaction has left the businessman in a state of confusion, as he had been planning to marry her before the issue escalated. Now, he is torn between standing his ground or apologizing in hopes of saving the relationship.

“The guy I buy my chicken and eggs from has a girlfriend who frequently takes his chickens and catfish without paying. Every time she does, she promises to pay but never follows through.
“She has taken over 20 chickens, multiple crates of eggs, and a large quantity of catfish. This does not even include the ones he voluntarily gifts her. Altogether, she owes him more than 400k.
“He got tired of waiting for her to pay and finally told her that she couldn’t take anything else until she settled her debt. Instead of understanding, she became angry, stormed off, and has since been ignoring him.
“She has refused to answer his calls and even snubbed him when they met in church. The most shocking part is that this is someone he was seriously planning to marry.
“Now, he is asking me whether he should apologize to her. Honestly, some men don’t love themselves enough. Smh.
“I’ve advised him to end the relationship immediately and delete her number. But at the end of the day, it’s his choice. He will do whatever he wants.”
