A Nigerian man’s attempt to travel abroad reportedly hit a snag when his visa application was denied due to an outstanding N5K debt owed to a loan app since 2020.
The incident was shared on Facebook by Leonard IB Marcus.

According to the report, the individual had plans to fly out of the country and had applied for a visa.
Unfortunately, his BVN (Bank Verification Number) revealed that he had been owing a loan app the sum of N5,000 since 2020.
As a result, his visa application was denied, thwarting his travel plans.
Leonard IB Marcus wrote, “Someone's Visa was denied all because his BVN shows he’s owing one loan app 5,000 naira since 2020. 💔”
Further elaborating on the matter, he added, “Some of you don’t know your BVN is literally your identity. You use it to borrow money from a licensed loan app and for some reason, you didn’t meet up with payments since 2020. And you applied to leave the country for Canada or America… The rest is OYO. These people will write to the Bureau de Change and have your BVN blacklisted unless you pay off that loan. You don’t know what awaits you.”
