However, the man lamented that financial challenges have been a significant barrier, preventing him from taking his children back to Africa to experience their cultural heritage and connect with their roots. He admitted that, despite his desire to make the trip happen, he has struggled to gather the resources needed to sponsor such a visit for his family.

In his heartfelt video, he highlighted that this situation is not unique to him alone, as many Africans living in Europe share similar struggles. He explained how the “American and European dreams” that initially attracted people abroad have become increasingly unattainable for many, leaving them grappling with unmet aspirations and financial constraints.

Reflecting on his personal experience, he said, “It has been over 30 years I left my homeland to travel to Europe and seek for greener pastures. For over 30 years, I was able to give birth to many children.

“Now, throughout this period of time, I have not been able to take my children to Africa. Every end of the year, we spend it here in Europe. It is not as if I do not want to take my children to go see their homeland where their parents came from. But the reality is, I don’t have the money to sponsor that trip,” he stated.

The video resonated with many viewers, sparking discussions around the realities and struggles faced by Africans living abroad.
