A Nigerian man recently shared a humorous yet insightful post on social media, mocking bachelors who are unable to cook, especially in light of the rising cost of food in his locality. He specifically pointed out that a single wrap of moi moi [/b]now costs ₦1,500, which has made it increasingly difficult for bachelors who are dependent on buying meals outside.

In the post shared via the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), he expressed how the steep rise in food prices is hitting bachelors particularly hard. He used the example of moi moi to emphasize the situation.

“A single wrap of moi moi at Bukka Hut is now ₦1,500. Terrible time to be a bachelor who doesn’t know how to cook,” he wrote, highlighting the fact that buying food is becoming unsustainable for many.

Further stressing the importance of learning to cook, he urged mothers to teach their sons this crucial life skill. “Cooking skills are life skills. Teach your sons how to cook,” he encouraged, emphasizing that being able to prepare meals at home is an essential and cost-effective skill that everyone, especially bachelors, should have.

The post quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions from social media users who shared their thoughts and experiences regarding cooking and the rising food costs.
