A young Nigerian man has garnered significant attention on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after leaking a private conversation with his roommate‘s girlfriend, which revolves around an influencer and a troubling request.
In this chat, the girlfriend implores the young man to block a specific Twitter influencer on her boyfriend’s phone, expressing her concern that her boyfriend has started to display concerning behavior that she claims is influenced by the content posted by the influencer.
The man shared screenshots of the lengthy conversation on X, highlighting the girlfriend’s request for him to access her boyfriend’s phone, locate the influencer’s account, and block it from his feed.
According to her claims, her boyfriend has become increasingly suspicious of her due to the influencer’s content, even though she asserts that she does not engage in any of the behaviors being criticized in the influencer's posts.
The girlfriend articulated her belief that the influencer’s tweets have negatively impacted her boyfriend’s perception of her, which prompted her to seek help from the young man to intervene by blocking the influencer from view.
However, the young man firmly declined her request, reasoning that such an action could jeopardize his relationship with his roommate and have negative repercussions on his own social media presence.
In a frustrated response to his refusal, the girlfriend lashed out at him, calling him a fool and revealing that her boyfriend often disparaged him, stating that he did not want the young man in their living space.

Less than 24 hours later, the influencer took it a step further by posting the young man’s details on social media, encouraging their followers to contribute to a housing fund to help him move out and secure independent living arrangements.
