Sunday Enejo, an entrepreneur, has refused to allow his wife to divorce him until she admits to being unfaithful. He made this request at the Jikwoyi Customary Court in Abuja, requesting that their marriage not be dissolved until his wife swears before the holistic god "Aniku" that she did not cheat on him. Enejo has been accused of being violent and abusive towards his wife, Rose. He appeared before Justice Labaran Gusau and stated that he would only grant her a divorce after she swears to allay his suspicions. The case has been postponed until April 4, 2023. In a separate incident, a Nigerian man named Joshua Kesena shared on Twitter the lengths he goes to in order to remain faithful to his wife. He uses pictures of his wife and children as his wallpaper on all his devices to remind him of the consequences of cheating, and his wife has access to his email, social media, and phone. Joshua believes that men who wish to remain faithful to their spouses must be extra cautious.
