A man has shared a distressing account of how a lecturer in the Philosophy Department of Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, rejected his final-year project just three days before the submission deadline. He alleged that this act of sabotage led to a significant drop in his CGPA from 3.5 to 2.9. According to him, the lecturer’s actions were fueled by his desire to have an intimate relationship with the man’s girlfriend.
This revelation was made public in a detailed post on the man’s page on the popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter). The post has since garnered widespread attention, sparking discussions about ethics in academia and the impact of personal relationships on students’ education.
In his account, the man claimed that the lecturer targeted him after discovering he was in a relationship with a female student the lecturer was interested in. He described how his academic performance was deliberately sabotaged, including the rejection of his project, which significantly affected his final grades.
He further explained that his girlfriend’s striking beauty had drawn attention from several lecturers in the department. While he was aware of this, he never anticipated that his relationship with her would negatively impact his academic journey.
The situation came to a head when he unexpectedly encountered the lecturer in his girlfriend’s room, wearing only boxers and a singlet. This discovery provided the missing piece of the puzzle, revealing the reasons behind his sudden academic struggles.
He shared his frustrations in the post, writing:
He wrote: “I dated one girl in my university days (since after this girl I see women in a different shape) she was in my department, both of us were in 300l at that time. As one of the beautiful women in the department, lecturers wanted their piece of the cake.”
“I expected it but not to My own detriment. Long story short this lecturer got the information that I was her boyfriend and suffered my cgpa, 400l project was rejected 3 days to submission, my squad of friends in department suffered.”
“Not until I caught my lecturer in my babe’s room in a singlet and Boxers. Apparently, I never knew where hey my grades started dropping like a waterfall from 3.5 to 2.9 not until 400l second semester.”
“I suffered, my guys suffered and meanwhile me and my lecturer were fvcking the same pussy for up to a year and the man still hunts me… I thank My supervisor for the grace of love that he has for me, gave me B even after my project topic was rejected behind his back.”
“I forgave the girl when I saw that she came out with third class “God don give you wetin you deserve despite all your fvcki fvcki.” PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT. OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY.”
He went on to express his gratitude to his project supervisor, who, despite the challenges, awarded him a respectable grade and helped him complete his academic journey. Reflecting on the experience, he stated that it taught him valuable lessons about trust, relationships, and resilience.
The post has since gone viral, with many users sympathizing with his ordeal and sharing their thoughts on the ethical implications of the lecturer’s actions. The story has sparked heated debates about misconduct in academic institutions and the abuse of power by those in authority.
