A lawyer has expressed deep frustration and disappointment after five suspected cultists, who are currently on trial for cultism-related offenses, openly saluted and hailed their leader, referring to him as “Number 1,” right in the middle of a court session.
The shocking incident, which quickly gained traction and went viral on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), was initially brought to public attention by a user identified as @egi_nupe___.
According to the social media user, the accused individuals—who are currently standing trial for their alleged involvement in cult activities—suddenly stood up in unison and began shouting praises the moment a certain man entered the courtroom.
Without hesitation, they referred to him as their “Number 1” while simultaneously making distinct cult-related hand gestures, which further alarmed those present in the courtroom.
The lawyer, visibly baffled by their audacity, shared his thoughts online, writing: “These boys are so stupid sha. Like, imagine five of them currently standing trial for cultism, a crime that carries a hefty 21-year jail sentence, and the moment their supposed ‘Number 1’ was escorted into the court from prison, they immediately stood up and hailed him right there in open court, shouting ‘Number 1’ and making handshakes. 😂”
