Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the untimely death of Nigerian singer Mohbad, a petition that the late artist filed with the Nigeria Police Force seeking protection for his life and assets has come to light.
As fans continue to demand justice for the 27-year-old singer, who was hastily buried, new developments have emerged. It has been revealed that a petition was submitted on June 25th, in which Mohbad sought police protection due to threats and attacks he faced, particularly from Sam Larry.
In a resurfaced video, Sam Larry and his group were seen interrupting one of the singer's video shoots while menacing him with threats of harm. The petition stated, "On 25th June, 2023 while having a video shoot with another artist by name Zlatan Ibile, the above-mentioned persons numbering about fifteen led by Samlarry Elegushi invaded the premises with dangerous arms such as guns, cutlasses, etc. where I was shooting a video and scattered the whole process of the shooting, damaged the equipment I was using for the shooting valued about Five Million Naira and started threatening my life which in the process they became violent and assaulted me which I sustained injuries but narrowly escaped."
This revelation has fueled further speculation among fans, many of whom insist that Mohbad's death was not a natural occurrence but a potential homicide.

This has since raised further speculations amongst fans who insisted that the death of Mohbad was a homicide.
