A lady has shared her experience of being discouraged from renting a 2 bedroom [/b]flat and purchasing a car [/b], with the advice that it would scare men away.
In a post on her Facebook page, the lady recounted how, as a single woman, she decided to rent a 2 bedroom [/b]flat, but was advised against it by some acquaintances who claimed it would make her less attractive to men.

Despite the advice, she went ahead and rented the house, explaining that she had a lot of plans, including expanding her business, which required extra space for storing her products. She emphasized that the decision was essential for her business growth and her personal comfort.
The businesswoman stated that she’s grateful for not following the advice because having the 2-bedroom flat and a car has greatly improved her quality of life. Her flat is now filled with goods as she works to grow her business, and she credits these decisions with helping her function more effectively and comfortably in her personal and professional life.
In her Facebook post, she wrote: “When I wanted to rent the 2-bedroom flat I live in, a few acquaintances tried to discourage me from renting the 2-bedroom house because according to them, I am a single lady, and a 2-bedroom flat is too much for a single lady. One told me living in the 2-bedroom house would scare men away from me. lol,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
She continued, “I ignored all of them and still rented the 2-bedroom house because I had so many plans and intentions to expand my business and for me to achieve the expansion I needed, I needed enough space to store my products. Fast forward to now, my visitor’s room, my walkways, and my dining area are filled up with goods!”
She added: “In life, have a mind of yourself! I don’t know why people make every conversation about a single woman revolve around male validation.”
The lady also shared how she was discouraged from buying her first car, with one person telling her that owning a car would also make men run away from her. However, she went ahead with the purchase, and now, two years later, she proudly drives her car, which has helped her achieve greater comfort and success. “I have been driving for 2 years now, and if I tell you the things and comfort my car has helped me to achieve, ehh? I function better when I am comfortable. Dear Lord, I am grateful,” she concluded.
