A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to vent her frustration after her boyfriend unexpectedly ended their relationship just two days before Valentine’s Day, leaving her heartbroken and confused.
The lady, who shared her story on X (formerly Twitter), explained that her boyfriend had initially asked her what she wanted for Valentine's Day. Excited by the opportunity, she boldly requested a Benz GLE 450 and a ₦250,000 money bouquet, believing it was within his means to provide.
However, instead of fulfilling her wish or offering an alternative gift, he shockingly chose to break up with her, leaving her stunned and disappointed.
Expressing her outrage over his decision, she described the breakup as “childish” and questioned why he had even asked her about her Valentine’s gift preferences if he couldn’t afford to meet her expectations.
She wrote:
“Breaking up with me two days to Valentine’s is childish. You asked me what I wanted, and I told you—a Benz GLE 450 with a ₦250K money bouquet. If you knew you couldn’t afford it, why ask? You should’ve just bought any gift without asking.”
