Lady recounts a heartbreaking experience where she and her boyfriend stole N1.8M from her workplace, only for him to disappear with the money, leaving her to face the consequences alone.
Reflecting on one of the most regrettable decisions of her life, the lady shared her story, hoping it would serve as a cautionary tale for others.
According to her, she was entrusted by her company to deposit the sum of N1.8M in the bank. However, she made the ill-fated decision to abscond with the money alongside her boyfriend.
The lady revealed that she and her boyfriend began living together after they ran off with the funds. But the following day, her world came crashing down when she woke up to discover he had vanished.
Not only had he disappeared, but he had also taken all her cash, including her savings, leaving her penniless and in deep trouble.
She captioned her story with the following:
“Back when I was mad wom.n| was asked to deposit #1.8m in the bank by the organisation | used to work for but | ran away with the money with my bf . We started living together. Only for me to wake up the next day in his house and he was no where to be found. He packed all his stuff n ran away with all the money including my savings that was with him”
The lady’s ordeal did not end there. In a follow-up, she detailed the ripple effects of her decision:
“Omo my sis who stood as guarantor for me was arrested, my family disowned me n I was later arrested. My bf told me that he needed the money for his mom’s surgery the next day but I found out later that his mother died when he was a child so his only living parent is his dad. I was tagged a thief by everyone. I had to relocate after the whole thing 😭😭Men are evil 😭😭. Emmanuel it sha never be well with you. Amen.”
