A lady has been exposed for giving a fake testimony at Evangelist Ebuka Obi’s Zion Ministry, where she falsely claimed ownership of a mansion. She has now come forward to explain why she did it.
It would be recalled that a viral video had surfaced online, showing the woman at Zion Ministry, where she testified about acquiring a mansion. However, investigations later revealed that the house did not belong to her, leading to backlash from social media users.
Following the revelation, Evangelist Ebuka Obi addressed the matter, disclosing that the woman had been arrested for fabricating the testimony. He further warned members of his congregation against making false claims in the name of faith.
In a recent interview, the woman defended her actions, stating that she had not intended to deceive anyone but was simply claiming the mansion as an act of faith. She maintained that she was "still preparing to buy the mansion" and that her testimony was a declaration of her belief in receiving it in the future.
However, when pressed with further questions regarding details of the mansion and her financial capacity to acquire it, she gave evasive answers, leading to mixed reactions from the public.
Social Media Reactions
As the news spread online, many social media users shared their opinions on the situation, with some supporting her faith-driven approach while others criticized her for misleading the church congregation.
@Magik_jay_ remarked: “Make one Igbo man just buy am for am.”
@powerchibueze commented: “lol… make una leave the innocent lady alone nah… she dey practice faith nah.”
@Karigwe asked: “I thought the pastor lied that she has been arrested? 🤔”
@dotenadot wrote: “Instead of @PoliceNG to go and arrest the so-called pastor for defrauding the public, they’re acting blind. No problem as long as he pays taxes to @CCSoludo led govt.”
@ThePoet_Says commented: “People are not asking real questions here… That video was not shown to the public from the girl’s phone. So, who put the video of that house on the church broadcast? If the church is not aware of this entire thing, who shot the video and mixed it so smoothly on the broadcast?”
@Moralist6788 stated: “She’s practicing faith! Ebuka Obi should kindly free that girl! What is truly FAITH without her action?”
