A young Nigerian lady has publicly criticized a seafood vendor after receiving a food platter that appeared to be significantly smaller than the quantity originally advertised by the business.
The disappointed customer took to social media to share a video of the platter, showing how the meal she received was much smaller than what was expected based on the advertisement, which had depicted a larger portion of seafood.
In her caption, she voiced her frustration, noting that the food had very little seafood and the quality was far from what she had anticipated given the price of N35,000. She described the meal's smell as off-putting and expressed her dissatisfaction with the overall experience.
She wrote, “See Wetin I pay 35k for 🤮 the smell that was coming out from this thing 🤮 I can’t tell all I have to say is no body should patronize this brand if not your money go waste 😡😡😡 I swear @THATSEAFOODGIRL you can do better 🙄😏,” her words laden with frustration and disappointment at the poor quality of the meal.
The video, which showcased the platter in question, quickly garnered attention online, leading to a flurry of reactions from other users. Some users expressed sympathy with the lady, with many criticizing the vendor for delivering such an unsatisfactory product. Others, however, suggested that the issue should have been handled privately with the business, rather than aired on social media.
A social media user, @THE_Olatanwa, commented, “Even abroad seafood boil is like $130+ Wetin you expect for 35k 😭,” suggesting that the price might not be as unreasonable as the lady believed. Another user, @Divinfav_CEOTechy, humorously added, “Are u sure the dispatcher hasn’t done tamper with it.. 😂😂.”
As of now, the vendor, known as @THATSEAFOODGIRL, has yet to respond to the accusations or comments surrounding the incident.
