A Nigerian lady has sparked a wave of reactions on social media after openly confessing to cheating on her boyfriend and deceiving him about her whereabouts. In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), the lady, who was interviewed on the street, was asked to reveal the biggest lie she ever told her boyfriend, and without hesitation, she openly shared her secret.
During the interview, the lady admitted that she once spent time in a hotel with another man while making her boyfriend believe she was at home. She explained that her boyfriend had wanted to video call her, but she skillfully avoided it by lying about a power outage at her place.
“I was with another guy, and my boyfriend kept calling me. The other guy was better than him, so I went to see him. I only visit him when I’m in the mood. My boyfriend wanted to video call me, but I lied that there was no light at home,” she confessed.
She continued, revealing how her boyfriend wanted to see her face and the location where she was. However, she reassured him by telling him that she was at home, where there was no power, and her boyfriend believed her without question. “He wanted to see my face and where I was, but I told him I was at home with no light, and he believed me,” she added.
The lady went on to explain how she managed to cover up her actions further, detailing how she avoided answering her boyfriend’s calls by claiming she was busy with her “brother” calling. “I went to be with another guy while my boyfriend kept calling because he loves video calls. I didn’t pick up and even told the guy with me that it was my brother calling,” she explained. She even went so far as to text her boyfriend rather than send a voice note, ensuring that he wouldn’t hear the background noise or realize where she was. “Since the other guy wanted to date me too, I stepped into the bathroom and texted my boyfriend instead of sending a voice note, so he wouldn’t hear my surroundings. He believed me. He even bought me data that day,” she added.
