During a recent visit to a hotel on the day of President Bola Tinubu's inauguration, renowned Nigerian comedian Kenny Blaq found himself in the midst of controversy.
However, Kenny Blaq's visit took an unexpected turn when he noticed a photograph of the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari, still prominently displayed on the hotel's reception wall.
Rather than proceeding to book a room at the hotel, Kenny Blaq expressed his surprise and disappointment, stating, "Na Buhari still be president for here oh, ahn ahn.. we can't afford it." He implied that the hotel's failure to replace the portrait with that of President Tinubu suggested a lack of readiness for the new era.
In a video capturing the incident, the receptionist and another staff member can be seen and heard attempting to address Kenny Blaq's concerns. They apologized for the oversight and assured him that they were in the process of replacing the portrait with one of President Tinubu. Pleading with the comedian not to leave, they promised to rectify the situation immediately.
