Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, has criticized the Labour Party for giving false hope to its supporters, who are called Obidients. According to Igbokwe, the party is misleading Obidients by encouraging the hopes of reclaiming their supposedly stolen mandate, despite the fact that their presidential candidate, Peter Obi, came third in the February election and has insisted on challenging the election outcome in court.
Igbokwe took to his Facebook page on April 24 to express his surprise at what he referred to as a time of "deception," stating that he had never seen anything like it before. He wrote, "Labour party is still dubiously telling their supporters that there is still hope for them abi? I have seen deception before but this one has no part 2. We will get understanding by force. Dazzol."
