An Indian man, identified as Gurumurthy, has reportedly committed a gruesome act by killing his wife, Madhavi, and then cooking parts of her body in a pressure cooker. This shocking incident has sent shockwaves across the community, leaving many in disbelief.
The police, who made this disturbing revelation on Wednesday, stated that the man confessed to the murder during interrogation. According to law enforcement officials, Gurumurthy admitted not only to the heinous crime but also to the act of disposing of his wife’s body parts at different locations in an attempt to cover up the murder.
Despite his confession, police authorities have clarified that they are still in the process of verifying his claims. They have yet to recover any body parts of the deceased woman, P. Venkata Madhavi. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to uncover the full details surrounding this horrifying crime.
Gurumurthy, the suspect, was employed as an outsourced security guard at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) facility in Kanchan Bagh. His background as an ex-serviceman has further stunned those who knew him, as such a brutal act was unexpected from someone with his professional history.
Madhavi was reported missing on January 16 from Hyderabad’s Meerpet locality. She and Gurumurthy had been married for 13 years and shared two children. Their relationship, however, had reportedly been troubled, with frequent arguments in the days leading up to the tragic event.
Following Madhavi’s disappearance, Gurumurthy initially attempted to mislead investigators by joining his in-laws in filing a missing person’s report on January 18. He claimed that Madhavi had left their home in a fit of rage after a heated argument on the morning of January 16 and never returned.
As the police intensified their search efforts and dug deeper into the case, inconsistencies in Gurumurthy’s statements raised suspicions. Upon further questioning, the husband allegedly broke down and confessed to committing the crime. Authorities now believe that ongoing domestic disputes may have led to this horrifying act of violence.
