In a heart-wrenching incident that has left the residents of Owerri, Imo State, reeling in shock, a woman allegedly beat her housemaid to death after finding her watching television with her children.
The tragic event came to light through a video shared on Facebook by journalist Nonsonkwa Ochi War, where the yet-to-be-identified woman was apprehended by neighbours following the unfortunate occurrence. Enraged neighbours gathered around her, hurling accusations and branding her a “wicked and vile woman.”
In the viral video, the suspect, who is also a nursing mother, was seen surrounded by angry residents demanding justice for the deceased housemaid.
Details of the incident reveal that the underage maid was allegedly punished for sitting with the woman’s children to watch TV, which led to a brutal beating that eventually resulted in her death.
The disturbing video has sparked widespread condemnation, with many Nigerians expressing outrage and calling for justice for the young girl.
