A Nigerian house agent has sparked massive outrage on social media after making a shocking confession about how he misused ₦500,000 meant for a client’s house rent to engage in gambling activities, ultimately losing the entire sum.
Despite this significant loss, the man unapologetically admitted that he has not learned his lesson and continues to engage in gambling. To prove his point, he brazenly flaunted his latest bet slip, further fueling public reactions.
This revelation came to light through a viral TikTok post, where the house agent openly shared his personal struggles with gambling and detailed how he mishandled the entrusted money. In the video, he narrated how a client placed complete trust in him by handing over ₦500,000 to secure an apartment, but instead of carrying out his duty, he made a reckless decision to divert the entire funds into gambling.
“I do agent work. Somebody gave me ₦500K to rent an apartment. The money didn’t even last a day in my hands,” he confessed in the viral clip.
Revealing the speed at which he squandered the money, he continued: “That very day, I put the money in my bag and went straight to a betting shop. Before I knew it, everything was gone.”
Shockingly, despite the financial disaster he encountered, he boldly admitted that he remains addicted to gambling and had already placed another bet on the same morning before making the confession.
“Even this morning, I’ve booked another game. I’ve already played a game today. See my ticket,” he said while displaying his latest betting slip, appearing unfazed by his previous loss.
