A Nigerian doctor has recounted a shocking incident where a hospital launched a full-scale investigation after an Alhaja admitted for treatment had her gold teeth stolen while on a ventilator.
The story was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a doctor identified as @RespiratoryDafe, who detailed how the Alhaja’s gold teeth were removed before medical treatment, only for them to go missing under mysterious circumstances.
According to the doctor, the entire hospital staff is under scrutiny, as authorities seek to uncover how and when the theft occurred.
“They are investigating the whole hospital because they brought an Alhaja with gold teeth on the vent to the unit, and someone stole the gold teeth. 😭,” @RespiratoryDafe posted on X.
