Despite his extraordinary achievement, Idris faced significant financial challenges due to his family’s modest means. His father works as a bricklayer, and his mother is a trader, making it difficult for them to afford his university education.

Idris’s story first came to public attention on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where a Nigerian man, moved by the young man’s dedication and circumstances, shared Idris’s situation. This post highlighted Idris’s resilience and determination to pursue higher education despite financial hardships.

He initially wanted to study Chemical Engineering at FUT Minna, and I pray he succeeds well. He is a star, and I believe the world will celebrate him someday.”

In a heartwarming update, the man later shared with his followers that “Idris’s dream has come to pass. He has been offered admission to study software engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. I am committed to supporting him through his academic journey until he graduates. Through him, his generation will be liberated.”
