Lady shares her dad’s emotional reaction to being surprised with a brand new car after 30 years of riding a bike.
The lady, identified as lizbethopticals1, took to the video-sharing platform to share the heartfelt and emotional moment when her father was surprised with the mini-van. It was a surprise that brought tears to his eyes, as he had spent most of his life riding a bike after falling on hard times. The video showcases the genuine joy and excitement that her father felt when he was given the car, a gesture of appreciation for his sacrifices.
In the emotional post, the lady shared that her father had lost his job the same year she was born, and despite every effort to find new employment being futile, he never gave up. Eventually, when he was offered another job in a different state, he turned it down, not wanting to be separated from his family. In order to make ends meet, he put aside his pride and ego of being a graduate and took on a job as a bikeman. Through all of this, he managed to provide for his family’s needs and never asked for help, even when it came to paying for their school fees or rent.
She wrote, “My Dad lost his job the year I was born. Every effort made to get a new job was Fruitless; When he later got a job, it was in another state, and he didn’t want to be separated, so he rejected the offer. My Father had to put his pride and ego of being a graduate aside to make sacrifices for us to be successful. He started riding a bike ever since then. I have never seen him call anyone/family before he could pay our school fees or rent. He did it all. I’m so proud to call you my father, My favorite person. Congratulations, My tall man.”
