The chemicals contained in hair relaxers, which are absorbed through the skin, can have serious health consequences.
According to Dr. @gynemedics, extensive research over the years has shown that the chemicals in hair relaxers are toxic and pose significant health risks. These chemicals are not only linked to uterine fibroid growth, but they have also been associated with other severe health issues, including various forms of cancer. The toxic substances in the relaxers seep into the skin and increase the chances of developing fibroids, anemia, and other conditions by at least 17%. This alarming statistic highlights the potentially harmful effects of using these products on a regular basis.

He added that the desire to tame and soften natural hair often leads women to unknowingly expose themselves to harmful products, thinking they are simply managing their hair texture.
