A Nigerian doctor has shared an unusual experience involving a patient’s daughter who reacted to his comment about skipping breakfast. The doctor, @Eqraam, posted on X about a conversation he had with a fellow doctor regarding missing breakfast.
Unbeknownst to him, a patient’s daughter overheard their conversation and decided to surprise him with a thoughtful gesture. Upon finishing his ward rounds, the doctor found a cup of tea and some biscuits on his table, accompanied by a note and the daughter’s phone number.
In his post, the doctor expressed his surprise and described the gesture as ‘weird’ and completely unexpected. He wrote:
“Something weird happened to me in hospital today. I went on ward rounds this morning. This Fulani lady that is taking care of her mom heard me telling one of my colleagues that I haven’t had breakfast. After I’m done with the ward rounds, I came back to this on my table. A cup of tea/biscuit and a note 📝. It’s weird🫠,” he stated.

The note that accompanied the breakfast read:
“HI Dr, Breakfast is the best way to start the day and being able to share it with you makes it even sweeter.– AISHA YUSUF JIBRILLA– CALL ME: 08******* Take care of yourself.”
The post has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many suggesting that the lady might have a crush on the doctor.
