A Nigerian medical doctor has shared his remarkable experience of delivering a baby weighing 3.5kg inside a Keke Napep (tricycle) under unexpected circumstances.
In a detailed post on his X (formerly Twitter) page, the doctor recounted how the urgent situation required him to step in and assist with the childbirth while on the move. He described how his clothes became stained during the process, emphasizing the intensity of the moment.
“Just delivered a 3.5kg baby in a Keke Napep, along with the placenta. Now my fine shirt is stained with liquor and blood😔,” he wrote, illustrating both the success of the delivery and the aftermath he had to deal with.
The doctor further elaborated that the mother had already lost a significant amount of blood before he intervened. With the baby’s head already descended, she was in no condition to be moved to a medical facility, making the delivery inside the tricycle the only viable option.
Despite the challenging and less-than-ideal conditions, he managed to ensure a successful delivery. However, he couldn't help but express his dismay at his now-ruined shirt, adding a touch of humor to the serious situation.
His post quickly went viral, drawing widespread reactions from netizens who praised his quick thinking and medical expertise. Many users took to the comment section to commend his bravery and dedication.
