A youth corps member has allegedly received a generous sum of ₦2 million from Yemolee, just two days after a heartfelt video of her expressing gratitude to her sister for her sacrifices went viral on social media.
The young lady, currently serving in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), recently gained widespread attention after she publicly appreciated her sister, who had financially supported her through school and even sold her gold to cover her rent during difficult times.
The viral video, which was widely circulated on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media platforms, captured her emotional tribute, thanking her sister for standing by her after they lost one of their parents.
In the video, she recounted how her sister provided food, paid her rent, and ensured she did not lack basic necessities, despite financial constraints.
Following the widespread circulation of the video, the corps member shared an update, expressing shock and gratitude at the unexpected turn of events in her life.
Her statement: “I don’t even know how I feel right now. I don’t know where to start or what to say. Just a few days ago, I was tired of struggling and hustling like a man. I was thinking about how I had no financial support from anyone.”
“I prayed and asked God for help, then I made that video—just a simple video expressing my feelings. Suddenly, Yemolee started looking for me, and he sent me money. Just like that.”
“In less than 24 hours, I became popular. My video was everywhere on social media. I still can’t believe it. I just want to say thank you, God.”
Although she did not reveal the exact amount she received, a social media user named Victoria confirmed that it was ₦2 million, writing, “Since she didn’t mention the amount, it’s ₦2 million.”
The viral post sparked massive engagement, with social media users flooding the comments section to express their thoughts and reactions to her sudden breakthrough.
